COFC is an independent supplier of intermodal equipment and ramp-to-ramp rail service specializing in 53' containers. Our mission is to provide a quality, easy-to-use intermodal service utilizing our fleet of containers that allows our customers to grow and be successful while nurturing strong business and personal relationships. Our flexible service is designed exclusively for intermediaries such as IMCs, 3PLs, Brokers, Freight Forwarders and Motor Carriers.

COFC is prohibited from working directly with beneficial cargo owners, allowing customers to sell our service with confidence and peace of mind.

  1. Solutions — We have the capacity, systems and pricing options to easily and competitively move your intermodal shipments. All of our containers have GPS integrated into our OS, and we are always investing in new technology to advance our shipping capabilities, with the goal of reaching a fleet of 10,000.

  2. Peace of Mind — COFC is prohibited from calling directly on BCOs, so our customers can rest assured that they can safely share their information without it being shared.

  3. Ease — BNSF does not require gate reservations for loaded containers, reinforcing our commitment to ease-of-use in utilizing our shipping containers.

  4. Accessibility — Our office is staffed Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to midnight, and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., to ensure prompt responses and a collaborative working relationship.

Garry Old

Garry Old is the founder and President of COFC Logistics, LLC. He has worked in the transportation industry since 1984, with experience in both the retail and the wholesale sides of the intermodal industry. Garry’s reputation for identifying market needs and finding ways to fulfill those needs, for all parties involved, is the backdrop that led him to recognize the market necessity for a neutral provider of 53' intermodal equipment. COFC’s service was created exclusively for intermediaries (IMCs, Brokers, Forwarders, Carriers, etc.). COFC Logistics is a culmination of Garry’s vision, insight, determination and over 30 years experience in the intermodal industry.

Robin Harter

Robin joined COFC Logistics in 2012 as our first employee. She has nearly 20 years of transportation and logistics experience and is a member of both TIA and IANA. She started as COFC’s Accounting Manager and has been actively involved in all areas of the business over the past 10 years. During that time, Robin has been instrumental in setting up the accounting department, writing company policies and procedures, creating the new operating system and developing the company website. Her desire and willingness to learn the business and the industry has made Robin a valued member of our team and has earned her the position of Vice President.

With the change in the economy and a decline in available freight, asset and non-asset-based companies are competing for the same, limited business. Non-asset-based service providers are forced to work with asset-based intermodal providers who are also competitors. Some of the restrictions and price constraints implemented by asset owners can make it difficult to do business. There is a market need for capacity and service for non-asset-based companies to remain competitive.

The company specializes in 53' intermodal containers moving on the Class 1 Railways. Prohibited from working directly with beneficial cargo owners (BCOs), COFC serves intermodal marketing companies (IMCs), third party logistics providers (3PLs), brokers, freight forwarders, trucking companies and other intermediaries.
